Location: Remote

Work description
o AI/ML Engineer working with a team to create a product.
o Work with other experts (weather data experts)
o Design, train and test ML models for project outcomes.
o Participation in retrospectives, reflecting and sharing on successes and failures.
o Adhere to Product AI governance and security requirements.

Required Qualifications
o 5-8 years developing Machine Learning models
o 4-8 years writing production grade code (Python, and ML libraries)
o Demonstrated ability to design, train and test ML models for project outcomes
o Ability to work with other experts
o Communication & collaboration - Clear writing, stakeholder engagement, and ability to translate technical progress for stakeholder leadership.
o Comfortable in fast-paced environment
o Experience with development practices - GitHub workflows, code review culture, VS?Code use, and team board (GitHub, Jira, etc.).

Desired Qualifications
o Experience using LLM models.
o Demonstrated high-levels of curiosity and logical reasoning. Comfort with ambiguity.
o Experience with both structured and unstructured data.
o Expertise using JSON, JSON Lines, CSV, YAML, etc.
o Experience in fast paced applied environments, stakeholder driven reviews, and iterative prototype refinement.
o Experience decomposing, breaking ambiguous goals into testable hypotheses. Identifying what *must* be solved now vs. later.
o Ability to design and implement proof-of-concept prototypes for delivery into operational use.???????
